Spiders, moths and a visit to Carlos Amorales’s studio

Dear Shaded Viewers,

You have not had that much news from me because the internet keeps cutting off at the hotel. After a day full of interviews, Enrique Gonzalez and I visited the studio of Mexican artist, Carlos Amorales. I was introduced to his work several years ago at the gallery Yvonne Lambert in Paris, he also shows with them in New York. I fell in love with his installations with moths. It was an inspiration that came to him in his dreams one night when he was visiting his grandmother. Unfortunately it looks like it also inspired an installation in a Parisian men’s wear showroom without his knowledge or assistance.
