In an interview with the Daily Telegraph founder Safia Minney said "… I believe our website allows us to really educate customers about
what we are trying to do. We wanted to explain how our clothes are

"So what’s the Japan connection?", I hear you ask … Safia began her career by founding environmental campaigning NGO Global Village in Tokyo in 1991. She launched her first fair trade and ecological fashion line, also in Tokyo, through her Fair Trade Company enterprise in 1997.
