I met Michelle Jank at a Colette opening with Linlee sometime before Christmas. I fell in love with her luscious floral necklaces. I’m dreaming of a black one. Michelle moved from Australia to Paris a few months ago. She has been creating jewellery since the age of 14. “I’ve always loved making accessories that blur the boundaries between jewellery and clothing.”

Each piece is hand assembled and sewn with flowers, l940’s velvet ribbons, stones, pieces of couture gowns, tshirts and bits of crochet.
“I have always followed my heart and done what is right for me, never to do what I think people expect of me. Its been a life long dream to work in Paris and to hopefully make a difference.
I think Australia was my training ground over the past few years. I achieved as much experience as I could working on my own label clothing and accessories, fashion directing at Tsubi / Ksubi, freelance styling for Harpers Bazaar and working on major runways shows and brand rejuvinations. I feel like I am ready to tackle anything. I really love this city, it has that amazing energy that makes me think anything is possible.”
