In a surprising turn of events, Walter Van Beirendonck replaces Linda Loppa who moves to Italy where she will become Deacon at a private fashion school. A few months ago Linda Loppa left her position at Flanders Fashion Institute (along with her husband Dirk, Patrick Demuynck, Eva Devisch..) Recently the position of Patrick and Linda has been taken over by Edith Vervliet. In the near future Linda will leave her position as museum MoMu director. By January 2007 Linda will leave her position as the head of the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp which will then be taken over by Walter Van Beirendonck.

ANTWERPEN – Vanaf 1 januari 2007 wordt modeontwerper Walter Van
Beirendonck het nieuwe afdelingshoofd van de modeafdeling van de
Hogeschool Antwerpen. Hij volgt Linda Loppa op.
Die verhuist naar het Italiaanse Firenze om decaan te worden aan de
Italiaanse private modeschool Polimoda. De school telt ruim 700
modestudenten. Loppa was 25 jaar lang verbonden aan de Antwerpse
modeafdeling, waar ze ook zelf studeerde. Eerst was ze docente, later
afdelingshoofd.

Door naar Firenze te gaan, keert ze terug naar haar Italiaanse roots.
