ANDAM winners for 2006

Dear Shaded Viewers,

As a support for emerging talent ANDAM has been grantinig fellowships over the past 20 years in recognition of outstanding achievement in the creation of contemporary fashion and accessories . Previous winners include: Martin Margiela (1989), Viktor & Rolf (1994), Jeremy Scott (1998), Anne-Valerie Hash (2003), Bless (2004) and many more.

And the winners are:

Natalia Brilli, who was awarded 34,000 euros by CIDIC and Galeries Lafayette for her collections of leather lined accessories. (I used to have a lovely pin of hers that was a gift to me from Robin at Maria Luisa, and correct me if I am wrong but I believe that she has been selling to Maria Luisa since the beginning of her career).

Jens Laugesen, who will receive 55,000 euros from the LVMH Group and L’Oreal Professionel to create his next women’s ready to wear collection which will be shown in Paris. I believe that this is the first time that someone living outside of France won the award. Of course he will do his next fashion show in Paris as opposed to London.
