Ashes and a furry Christmas from Pierre Carrilero aka Pierrot in NYC

Dear Shaded Viewers,

In the beginning of next year my friend Pierre Carrilero, aka Pierrot, will have a blog. It will be very transplanted Parisian living in NYC and upstate. I’ll add him to my links for life. Pierre is currently working on a film, in fact he was the inspiration for the horror film about a French Clown. He’s always on my mind and so I enjoy news from him when ever it comes.

My Dad died about 4 years ago, actually the 13 December, he was a New Yorker and my sister, her husband and her kids and I decided to spread his ashes where he used to live. That is a totally illegal thing to do in the states but quite poetic. It’s funny how that event came up in NYC just the other day. Here is how Pierre puts it:

"i totally forgot to tell you….a friend from switzerland visited..she lived for 9 years in nyc got married the guy divorced her..prick style..seems like it comes with the territory…but .her and i were wandering aimlessly and chatting like there is no yesterday…and there we were on the Brooklyn bridge ..we stopped in the middle walkway…gorgeous day, and i was telling her your dad’s departure…..fellini style….like the procession in the beach scene from "giulietta degli spiriti"….a flight of geese came passing through in the brooklyn bay….our jaw dropped and we enjoyed the national geographic moment…..none of us had a camera and we could’nt care less as this moment was ours….
soothing……
we were so serene….surreal."

It really was a very Fellini experience, and I was quite touched that that little vignette  would pop up now with Pierre and his friend while chatting  on the Brooklyn Bridge.
