I had a wonderful visit with Afke and her new exhibition at the Bank of Holland. 11 floors underground lays all the gold in Holland. The security was so tight in the building that I felt like I was Steve McQueen in “The Thomas Crown Affair.” I asked Art Kitchen if they could supply me with a photo of the gold bricks stored under the floor so that I can post them on my wall. They shot it once for a Christmas card.
I’ll post more of Afke’s amazing work later but the piece behind her is a dress on a crystal spinal column with an embroidered red heart.When I capture my film later today or tomorrow I’ll post an image from Tinko.
