progetto LANTERNE by Mario Salvucci

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Mario Salvucci is making lamps out of laser-cut aluminum foil. By working with the geometry of flowers he is trying to recreate the art of nature.  Mario used to make the accessories that I presented with my collections in New York and Tokyo. For the past years he’s moved back to Italy from New York and has changed direction into home furnishings and lighting in particular.

Currently the lamps are showing at the Slobs Gallery in Milan and Mario is preparing a solo show in January 2006.

Take care, Diane
